Vintage Polaroid

On second thought, my brother might not appreciate the blog title of "Vintage Polaroid"... seeing as the camera is from the same year he was born!  He's a good sport though, always patiently posing for pictures for me!

Loren is back in Vancouver only briefly, before returning home to Sydney.  He's just completed a 5 month motorcycle journey from Vancouver to Buenos Aires.  Steel Horse Tour is where you can read all about his adventures.

November 2010 - Watson's Bay - Sydney

Sometimes the stars line up! I had postponed my return flight to Vancouver due to illness. I ended up with a magical five extra days in Sydney. (Magical, as Vancouver was in minus temperatures and snowing, and I got to go to the beach instead!) I had a call from Sue to update their family pictures... and it so worked out that our schedules coordinated to take these photos at Watson's Bay in the late afternoon. Thanks again Sue, and may we get to update your family pics every November at Watson's Bay ;)

While in Sydney this November, I had a call from Sue (who had recently moved there) to take some family photos at the beach. While taking their photos, I remembered back to previous photo shoots... the first in 2002 when Stella had just turned 1. Here's a look back at those photo shoots...

Summertime Fun

It feels like summer made a quick visit this year, before moving on to more exotic locales, perhaps. Just got these pictures back of baby J from this summer... black and white film can sit in the camera for a while! We had fun romping around in the grass to get some of these shots ... and never underestimate black construction paper for a backdrop!

Happy 7th Anniversary

Happy 7th Anniversary to Dustin and Tracey today. I can't believe 7 years has passed so quickly... I remember shooting the wedding like it was yesterday - but it was actually back in the days of my old Pentax camera! So I guess some things have changed! Tracey has an adorable blog, My House of Giggles. She has a knack for transforming vintage furniture into usable pieces for her family home. And LOVE her paintings. I wish I could paint like that... but can't even sketch to save my life... so have to settle for expressing myself technically through photography!
